The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Manager of Operations to lead and drive key safety outcomes for our Pilbara business. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Port Services, Western, this is a strategic and high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing large, multi-site operations and workforce.
You will be a forward-thinking leader with strong operational expertise and a proven ability to manage complex logistics environments. With a clear focus on safety, people, and performance, you will drive operational excellence through innovation, continuous improvement, and a commitment to customer service.

About the Position
The Manager of Operations – Pilbara will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing end-to-end operational activities across the Pilbara region. This role is responsible for driving a high-performance culture with a strong focus on safety, customer service, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and manage all stevedoring operations in the Pilbara region.
* Ensure operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
* Oversee a large and diverse workforce, ensuring alignment with LINX values; Be Brave Be Bold, We Are One, Home Safely Every Day, Act Like You Own It & Powered By People.
* Take accountability for safety and financial performance, resource allocation, and productivity targets across multiple sites.
* Deliver operational excellence through robust planning, problem solving, and process optimisation.
* Collaborate and lead by example with a strength in living safety values and a critical risk and reporting mindset
* Lead change management initiatives and major operational programs in partnership with the General Manager – Port Services, Western.
* Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all levels of the operation.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have considerable senior management experience with demonstrable skills in leading large, blue collar operational teams in a heavily unionised environment. You will have the ability to establish and build relationships with key clients, ensuring adequate servicing of their needs and expectations whilst improving organisational capability through developing and retaining a high performing and engaged workforce. Previous exposure to stevedoring or shipping operations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
