Project Manager – Port Capital Projects
ResourcePro is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Managers to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects at a major port facility for a Tier 1 resources company.
About the Role
This opportunity will suit a capable project professional with experience delivering projects in mining, heavy industry, ports, infrastructure, or similar operational environments. The role forms part of a strong pipeline of capital works supporting the ongoing development, reliability, and performance of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects in line with client, company, safety, commercial, and contractual requirements
* Define project scopes, develop execution plans, manage budgets, and monitor schedule performance across multiple projects
* Maintain strong safety leadership and promote a zero-harm culture across all project activities
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
* Oversee construction planning, scheduling, procurement, contractor engagement, and site execution activities
* Support commercial, tendering, procurement, and contract management processes
* Manage project risks, issues, variations, reporting, and governance requirements
* Contribute to a high-performance project delivery culture through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
About You
* Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Structural, or a Diploma/qualification in Project Management
* Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects within mining, resources, ports, infrastructure, or heavy industry environments
* Strong understanding of project delivery, construction management, safety, quality, cost, and schedule control
* Commercially astute, with experience supporting tenders, procurement, contract management, and cost reporting
* Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
* Well organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in an operating site environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Strong commitment to safety, governance, professional integrity, and successful project outcomes
