Senior integrity engineer

Randstad are seeking a highly capable and experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to join our mining client's technical engineering team. Reporting to the Integrity Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our client meets Australian standards and regulatory requirements, together with company objectives. This will be achieved by applying engineering principals and tools to drive continuous improvements through clear communication, problem solving and delivering business critical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive continuous improvement by actively identifying, developing and delivering improvement opportunities and initiatives
* Generate and review inspection reports and analyses
* Implement fixed plant maintenance strategies and propose corrective actions to ensure asset integrity
* Advise on repair, remediation and mitigation methodologies for damage plant
* Provide engineering and inspection input into shutdown/major outages scopes
* Conduct corrosion rate, fitness for service and remaining life assessments & estimations
* Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis investigations (RCA) into plant performance issues and implement sustainable solutions
* Improve the performance and capability of the fixed plant through technical engineering leadership and reliable decision making
* Contribute to the development of capital and operational budgets, condition assessment, as well as project scope development and management
* Build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
* Foster effective and productive working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrate a commitment to safety through effective field leadership and supporting colleagues
* Bachelor degree in mechanical, materials, corrosion engineering, or relevant demonstrated industry experience
* Sound understanding of Integrity Engineering principles with previous experience in heavy industries (eg. mining, oil & gas, chemical, etc.)
* Minimum of 5+ years industry experience working with pressure vessels, boilers & piping
* Experience in NDT selection & inspections (ideally ACIP/API)
* A demonstrated understanding of asset management, strategy development, maintenance execution, maintenance planning & reliability, or production processes is preferred
* Knowledge and experience on Finite Element Analysis (FEA), able to complete fitness for service level 3 is desirable
* Effective communication skills across functional stakeholders including the production, maintenance & engineering teams
* Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions
* Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building beneficial relationships across functional teams
* Have strong operating discipline and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience identifying risks, conducting risk analysis, risk prioritisation and controls to monitor and manage risks to enable the achievement of project outcomes
* Previous experience in computing systems including SAP and MS Suite is essential
* Excellent strategic thinking, situation analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
