Position Details

Canteen Manager – St Joseph's School. The Canteen creates and serves delicious and nutritious recess/lunch for the school staff and students to enjoy every day.

Employment details

* 30 hours per week, 40 weeks/year (school holidays off).
* Daily hours of work are 7am – 1pm weekdays (6 hours per day).
* On-the-job training and support.

Duties

* Managing the day-to-day operations of the canteen.
* Organising and managing the daily orders and counter service.
* Catering for special diets and allergies.
* Providing catering for staff for Professional Learning and other special days.
* Maintaining food safety compliance.
* Shopping for and ordering food from suppliers.
* Daily cleaning of floors, equipment and workspaces.
* Assist with making breakfast for a limited number of students if required.

Selection Criteria

* Previous experience in a school canteen or similar.
* Cash handling and EFTPOS experience.
* Great communication skills and ability to show initiative.
* Experience in working unsupervised.
* Food Handling and Food Allergy training or willing to work towards.
* Driver's licence (essential).
