We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Planning Manager, fixed term until 30 January 2026, to join Housing, Building and Land Delivery (HBLD) group of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). The role is to lead and manage the preparation of plans and other associated strategic work for the development of specific activity centres; and to lead and coordinate the planning approach used in the AC program. You will be part of a team of professionals working closely with DTP Activity Centres program and other DTP and government colleagues in preparing plans which demonstrate a whole of government approach to planning, including transport, community services, open space and other essential infrastructure. You will be responsible for consulting with a range of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes around specific planning issues as well as the to implement government policy by delivering housing choice and jobs to meet population growth close to existing services and public transport; as well aspreparation of sound planning advice and analysis as required.
