About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) and the Medical Transit Unit (MTU) at Camden Hospital. The Clinical Nurse Educator will support Camden Hospital staff and have knowledge of Aged Care and Rehabilitation.

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who will bring their expertise in preceptorship, mentorship, and leadership to foster a culture of continuous professional development.
The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of nursing staff through guidance, education, and support. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to staff, using a variety of educational approaches to develop clinical capability, and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice are upheld.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Management, Nurse Educators, and Clinical Nurse Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service, and enhanced patient outcomes.

Camden Hospital, located in the small, rural town of Camden, is part of the diverse South Western Sydney Local Health District.
This small hospital provides care to the local community in the fast-growing Camden LGA. The hospital has a dedicated team of staff who work closely to meet community needs and provide safe, quality, and compassionate care to all patients.
Camden Hospital collaborates with its sister hospital at Campbelltown and specializes in services for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.
The hospital also features an eight-bed 24-hour Level 2 Emergency Department and is home to the University Medical Clinic of Campbelltown and Camden and the Karitane Residential Family Care Unit.

* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical or education field, or a combination of education, training, and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
* Understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education/clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
* Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.
* Effective communication and engagement skills with patients/consumers, carers, and the healthcare team.
* Professional interpersonal skills and conflict resolution ability.
* Evidence of critical thinking in delivering evidence-based nursing care.
* Understanding of risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement practices.
