We are working with a defense & maritime company and are seeking a Procurement Planner to join their Purchasing and Supply Chain team based in Henderson
Hours: M-F 38 hours per week
Start: ASAP start
Length: Ongoing depending on client requirements
Hourly rate: $50.00 - $60.00 p/h + Super depending on experience
The Role
A leading organisation within the defence and maritime sustainment sector is seeking a Procurement Planner to join their Purchasing and Supply Chain team based in Henderson.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in procurement planning, subcontractor allocation, and supplier engagement within a structured, large-scale program environment.
As a Procurement Planner, you will support the Purchasing Team in coordinating procurement activities across multiple programs. You will be responsible for managing RFQ processes, supporting subcontractor allocation, and ensuring materials and services are planned effectively to meet program demand.
This role is highly collaborative, requiring early engagement with stakeholders and a strong focus on process consistency, compliance, and value for money outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate subcontractor allocation across maintenance and project work scopesPrepare, issue, and manage RFQs, tenders, and technical documentationEngage with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the procurement lifecycleCollate, track, and coordinate quote submissions for evaluationSupport value-for-money assessments and procurement decision-makingMaintain pricing databases, catalogues, and supplier agreementsMonitor RFQ progress and produce procurement reports and dashboardsEnsure procurement data, systems, and documentation are accurate and up to dateSupport inventory demand planning aligned to program schedulesContribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems
Experience
