Overview
A1 Access and Rentals are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for a broad range of positions in our business, based in the Northern Territory.
Contract type: Casual Position - until the end of 2025 (relocation and ongoing work for the right candidate).
FIFO Position 2:1 roster - Flights, Accom and Vehicle included.
Responsibilities
Perform in office servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including heavy earth-moving equipment, trucks, generators, small wash plant and light vehicles.
Prepare current machines to site specification requirements.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults and attend machine breakdowns on site.
Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.
Major engine and component rebuilds.
Candidate Skills & Experience
Relevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent
2+ years of fitting experience
Extensive experience working with Caterpillar and Volvo equipment, highly regarded
Field service experience
Experience working with hydraulics
Robust focus on safety and quality
