Our organization seeks an experienced Digital Content Editor to play a critical role in the preparation of content for our new website and ensuring its accuracy, clarity, and accessibility.


Job Description

The Digital Content Editor will be responsible for leading the development of a content strategy, standards, workflows, operational practices, and policies for managing content on our website. This includes reviewing and editing digital content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to plain language and health literacy principles.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional content design and web writing skills, including expertise in translating highly technical information into clear messages for a wide variety of audiences. They will also possess highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and negotiate with stakeholders effectively.

We are looking for a team player who can work collaboratively with subject matter experts to translate complex health information into accessible web-based content. The successful candidate will use analytics and user feedback to inform content improvements and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a content strategy that ensures consistency and quality across all digital channels.
* Edit and review digital content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and accessibility.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and informative content for various audiences.
* Analyze user feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance content performance.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless content delivery and effective collaboration.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Demonstrated experience editing and managing digital content in a health or government context.
* Exceptional content design and web writing skills, including expertise in translating technical information into clear messages.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and negotiate with stakeholders effectively.
* A strong understanding of health literacy principles and the ability to apply them in content creation.
* Proficiency in content management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
