The company is looking for an experienced Importer to maintain and enhance our competitive advantages in sourcing and organising our complicated purchasing systems and structures with the element of overcoming multiculture barriers in example of language and culture differences. This importer role is the key to build our company's exclusive competitive advantage in our market segments.
Responsibilities
* Identify business opportunities and reliable suppliers in targeted overseas countries.
* Determine the mix of products to be provided and negotiate conditions of trade and liaise with overseas suppliers and distributors about orders and products.
* Manage the end-to-end import process by coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties.
* Be familiar with relevant countries' regulatory and statutory requirements relating to the importing and exporting of goods, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
* Prepare, review and handle all necessary customs documentation and regulatory compliance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and customs declarations, etc.
* Coordinate logistics including shipping, freight forwarding, and transportation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
* Assist the financial staff for payments to suppliers through secure methods and ensure accurate payment of such as customs duties, taxes, and other charges required.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with quality foreign suppliers and communicating effectively to address issues and improve efficiency.
* Maintain efficient communication with sale team members and other staff for monitoring business performance relating to importing activities and provide feedback and improvement plan to company manager.
* Keep knowledge updated on international market change and progress relating technology development in the tile industry.
Qualifications, Skills and Work experience requirements
* Requirement of a Bachelor or Higher degree in international trade or materials physics and chemistry field.
* Requirement of minimum 3 years of proven experience in the importation operations, logistics, or a higher level roles.
* Having working experience in ceramic, porcelain, construction material or other chemical materials fields is preferred.
* Requirements in valuable relationships and in-depth networks and hands on experiences in international importations and knowledge in chemical materials and engineering especially relating to construction materials.
* Being familiar with International Trade Laws, tariffs, international shipping procedures and customs requirements, especially in countries where our importation activities are being carried the most.
* Strong communication skills to be able to harmonise and balance out the needs between APHC and supplier and other related parties.
* Capable in using computerized tools and software to increase the work efficiency and effectiveness which also enabling analysis and strategic formation and implementations.
* Strong in mature business mindset in both business theories and practical applications to achieve better business outcome and strengthen the personal relationships with the suppling counterparts.
* Strong adaptabilities of changing business environments and countries laws.
* Strong understanding of INCO terms, shipping terms, and international trade terms and vocabulary.
* Fluency in multiple languages including Chinese (Mandarin is a big plus) based on company's main source of international suppliers.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
