**Requirements**:
- Certified Fitter or Mechanical Engineer qualification
- Electrician qualification
- Extensive management experience in production
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience in staff supervision and ability to demonstrate sound leadership qualities
- Well-developed problem-solving skills related to quality issues with the ability to arrive and implement long term preventive actions
- Ability to provide reporting on a weekly basis
- Structured training in all facets of WHS, including contractor management
- Good computer skills-competency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to make quick and safe decisions
- Must be a permanent resident of Australia or Australian Citizen
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance, training, and supervision to ensure optimal performance and adherence to the safety standards on site
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure mínimal disruption to production and operation during any maintenance work
- Stay up to date on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and drive for continuous improvement
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
