As part of our team, you will work within a collegial and professional environment that promotes Care, Community, Learning and Respect. Our staff are committed to creating safe, engaging and enriching learning environments, building student independence, and supporting positive outcomes through consistent, evidence-based practice.
This position provides leadership in the planning, coordination, and delivery of evidence-based educational programs to support students with complex learning and behavioural needs within the schools' Regulations, Education, Autonomy, Daily‐living, and You-The READY Program. The role ensures that teaching and learning align with the Essentials for Living (EFL) framework and Department of Education priorities.
The role is responsible for leading the development, implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans. This involves analysing behaviour data to monitor student progress, making informed decisions, and adjusting programs that align with EFL and trauma‐informed practice to improve student outcomes.
A key focus of the role is building staff capacity through professional learning, coaching and modelling to support consistent, high‐quality teaching and inclusive practices across the school. The position also leads the development and maintenance of effective systems and processes, including documentation, referral pathways, behaviour support planning and case management, to ensure accountability, consistency and collaborative practice within our school community and with external agencies. A strength of the role is the ability to interpret behaviour plans and therapy goals from allied health professionals.
