Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client's team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The Accountant - Operating Budgets will be responsible for preparing and communicating corporate operating budgets and analysing and recommending appropriate rates and charges in support of the financial planning and commercial operation of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing accounting functions
* Planning, coordinating and preparing the corporate operating budget and forecast cycle
* Maintaining and operating various budgeting and forecast systems and tools
* Preparation/assistance with costings to support commercial opportunities
* Assisting in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements and other statutory returns as required
* Assisting in performing reconciliations on an ad-hoc basis
* Implementing and maintaining appropriate internal accounting controls
Requirements:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
* Eligibility for membership of the Australian Society of CPA's or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
* Extensive accounting experience in a commercial environment
* Experience in the use of Oracle Fusion Cloud desired but not essential
Key Skills:
* Well-developed ability and experience in planning, organising and achieving work priorities
* Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
* High-level interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Extensive experience in the use of computerised financial management information systems, financial modelling and report writing tools
* Awareness of Commonwealth and State corporate taxation legislation
* Proven ability and experience in working in a team environment
