Responsibilities
* Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families, ensuring their voices and preferences are at the forefront
* Undertake observations of a child in their natural environment (face to face and/or remotely via video conference) to assess functioning and support needs
* Support First Nations families to establish meaningful goals and track progression toward goals
* Provide community connections and linkages to mainstream services in the local area to improve access to supports and meaningful social participation
* Work within the framework of the Best Practice Guidelines in Early Intervention
* Travel across the area to engage with families and communities in their homes (role is based in Sydney and travels to Northern NSW regions: Grafton, Lismore, Tweed Heads)
About You
This is an Identified Position open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only, under Section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
Essential Requirements
* Aboriginality confirmed by a common seal and a reference from an Aboriginal organisation or community group
* Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Allied Health is desirable
* Understanding of child protection principles and Keep Them Safe
* Valid Driver's Licence (P1 minimum) and willingness to travel across Northern NSW, including Grafton, Lismore, and Tweed Heads
* Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Full Australian working rights
