Overview
Clinical Nurse Educator – Orientation and Cultural Support (Identified) at NSW Health. Location: John Hunter Hospital | Awabakal Country. Hours per week: 38. Responsibilities
- Shape a personalised journey of learning and connection, guiding staff through tailored orientation, cultural supervision, and meaningful engagement in celebrations, consultations, and community.
- Deliver orientation programs at the beginning and end of each week, including staff rounding, dedicated cultural supervision, and participation in annual cultural celebrations, meetings, and consultation forums.
- Provide ongoing cultural supervision and support to foster growth, connection, and success for the successful applicant.
- Support indigenous staff to enhance a culturally safe workplace and contribute to the implementation of NSW Health policies and standards.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Salary: $109,684.57 – $113,243.15 per annum + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

Requirements
- Current registration or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA and hold relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent (e.g. Enterprise Trainer Presenting Skill Set).
- Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as Aboriginal, and acceptance in the community; Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and authorised under Section 14(d) of the Antidiscrimination Act 1997.
