About The Job
A Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing various programs and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This involves fostering a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Developing individualized lifestyle programs based on resident needs, preferences, and goals to enhance physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social well-being.
* Leading and participating in the delivery of activities, ensuring they are engaging and meaningful.
* Preparing thorough and accurate lifestyle assessments of residents.
* Ensuring complete and timely documentation of resident participation and engagement.
* Managing and coaching the lifestyle team to deliver top-notch lifestyle activities.
* Supporting the orientation and training of new team members and volunteers.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, and volunteers.
* Facilitating opportunities for residents to engage with the broader community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require a demonstrated understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards. A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is also necessary, along with previous experience in a similar position, including dementia care. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
