**Scope**
Reporting to: Senior Contracts and Procurement Specialist
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Contracts function for our Client; assisting the Projects team in the development, from initiation to investment, and execution of our Client's major Renewables projects within Europe.
**About this role** Typical Activities**
- Contribute to ongoing development of global sourcing strategy. Develop, coordinate, and evaluate tender packages for pre-feasibility, feasibility and execution phases of Projects including studies for engineering, environmental, social, site investigations, construction and procurement contracts. Support the Senior Contracts and Procurement representative in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget.
- Identify and evaluate key risks at a contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g., technical, legal etc.) - Assist in the development of Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures - Develop well written, well-structured procurement documentation that supports the project requirements
- Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities
- Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements and provide access to procurement information
- Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment
- Work as part of the team to deliver value through competitive sourcing and effective contract management.
**About you** Criteria**:
- Affiliation to RICS, CIPS etc (desirable not essential)
- +5 years' demonstrable experience in Contracts within major Projects and/or energy industries. Project start-up exposure highly desirable.
**Additionally**:You will require:
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple work packages and retain flexibility. The ability to understand the importance of stakeholder relationships. You should naturally be able to engage effectively with other disciplines: Engineers, Legal, Quality Management, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Project Controls and Logistics to co-ordinate and ensure contractual delivery parameters are met. You will be self-motivated and show initiative to progress and deliver own and team/unit work.
