What You Will Be Doing
As a Trainee Plant Operator, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations within one section of the manufacturing plant, initially focusing on pick and pack duties. You will perform quality checks, support production processes, and gain hands-on experience operating within a fast-paced, safety-driven workplace.
- Operate within a specific section of the plant, performing pick and pack tasks.
- Conduct quality checks and product inspections in line with safety and compliance requirements.
- Assist with general labouring tasks within the manufacturing process.
- Support the production of explosive materials for the mining industry.
Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safe work practices.
What You Will Need
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or background in manufacturing.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures with attention to detail.
- Sound communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
- Current National Police Check (NPC).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening (DAS).
- Must pass a company aptitude assessment.
- Must be residential in Kalgoorlie and seeking long-term employment.
- Desirable: Forklift Licence.
- HR Drivers Licence.
