About Us
Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.
About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a newly graduated or soon to be graduated WHS Trainer to join our Learning and Development Team at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH). Working within the Serco team this role will assist in the overall functioning of the HRMS (Human Resource Managed Service) to provide quality training to all WA Health employees at FSH. You will assist in the implementation of the strategic OSH training plan, programs and material to continually improve safe work practices and ensure legislative compliance.
About You
You are recently graduated or currently working towards a Bachelor Qualification in human movement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or other relevant area of study. You are passionate about delivering safe training techniques and have the ability to build relationships and consistently deliver high quality and efficient customer service. You demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment to achieve required outcomes. You’re a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.
To be successful in this role, you will have;
• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
• Working towards or completed Bachelor Qualifications in human movement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or other relevant area of study
• Demonstrated knowledge in the practical delivery and assessment of patient related manual handling and aggression prevention related training
• Ability to present and facilitate sessions following site specific training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships, develop personal credibility and demonstrate WHS training expertise to consistently deliver high quality and efficient customer service
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment to achieve required outcomes
• Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with Hospital Employees and other key stakeholders
• Relevant experience in a Healthcare environment
