Service Overview
The Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a secure environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress, offering an alternative to emergency department visits for low-risk cases.
A multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide comprehensive assessments, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management, and care planning tailored to meet individual needs.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver focused psychological strategies to meet the individual needs of service users within a community-based mental health setting.
* Collaborate across healthcare networks to plan and coordinate individualised psychosocial interventions addressing mental health issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Must hold General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse, or be registered with AASW as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
* Demonstrate a high level of knowledge, expertise, and skill, specifically in Brief Intervention Models of Care, and commit to continuous professional development.
