We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our friendly and dedicated finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate accounts receivable, supporting our customers professionally, and ensuring our financial processes are reliable, timely, and well-governed.
This role is based at our Burleigh Heads office and warehouse, in a unique, pet-friendly environment. The position may be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on experience and availability (minimum 20–25 hours per week).
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
* Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately and promptly
* Manage debt collection and follow up outstanding accounts professionally
* Prepare and issue customer statements
* Assess new customer applications and conduct credit checks
* Manage customer credits, account adjustments, and reconciliations
* Produce customer and accounts reporting as required
* Handle customer account and order enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Respond to shared inbox enquiries and incoming phone calls, directing matters appropriately
* Support the broader finance team as needed
* Order stationery and staff amenities to support day-to-day operations
Through this work, you’ll help ensure strong cash flow, fair and consistent customer treatment, accurate financial records, and smooth collaboration across teams.
What We’re Looking For
You may come from a range of accounting or finance backgrounds. We’re looking for reliability, accuracy, and a collaborative mindset.
You’ll likely bring:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
* A finance or accounting background
* Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail
* Accurate data entry and shared inbox management experience
* Professional verbal and written communication skills
* A friendly, confident phone manner
* A self-directed, organised approach to work
* A team-focused attitude with the initiative to take ownership
Experience with Pronto is desirable but not essential.
