ProQuest Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Door Assemblers for an immediate start with our client located in Melbourne’s South East suburbs. Our client is Australia’s leading provider of spray booths and automotive paint shop equipment, recognised for delivering high-quality engineered products across the automotive and industrial sectors. What’s on offer 8:00am – 4:30pm shifts Monday to Friday roster Competitive pay rates: $32.31 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience) Ongoing position with ongoing work Supportive and safety-focused team environment About the Role The Door Assembler position plays a key role in manufacturing high-performance proprietary aluminium doors, escape/PA doors, and EPS-panel frames designed for durability, airtight sealing, and safety performance. You will also assist in the assembly of additional components required for the installation and supply of spray booths and associated products. Key Responsibilities Mark out, cut, drill, and assemble aluminium box-section door frames and assemblies Construct and clad EPS insulated panel door frames with precision alignment Install toughened glass, glazing beads, seals, and access hardware Fit door hardware including hinges, handles, locks, drop seals, and closers Assemble access hatches, viewing panels, and general door components Conduct in-process and final quality inspections Read and interpret technical/CAD drawings Support dispatch packaging and general assembly duties as required Maintain a clean and safe working environment About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience assembling aluminium door assemblies or insulated panel systems Strong experience using power and hand tools Ability to read and interpret technical or CAD drawings Experience fitting glass, glazing systems, and high-performance seals Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Reliable work ethic with a proactive attitude Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork If you are looking for consistent hours, excellent pay rates, and the opportunity to join a company with an outstanding culture, this is an opportunity you do not want to miss.
