Salary Range: Base Salary $71,806 - $77,515 per annum + super

We are seeking proactive and customer-focused Administration Officers to provide high-quality support across the Water section. These roles, will deliver excellent service to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, Council leadership and the Mayor. You will manage service requests, work orders, correspondence, scheduling, procurement, reporting and accurate record keeping.
We Currently Have Three Vacancies Across Our General Administration, Water And Wastewater Administration And Trade Waste Teams. The Expectation Is For The Candidate To Rotate Across All Three Functions Over Time. Specifics Of These Roles Include:
General Administration : Provide administrative and financial support, including processing purchase orders and invoices, managing reimbursements, travel and carpool arrangements, and maintaining registers. It also oversees complaints and compliments, Councillor correspondence, contractor management systems, meeting minutes, KPI reporting, and the preparation of Council reports and briefing notes.
Water and Wastewater Administration : Be responsible for receiving, processing and tracking customer applications for new services and infrastructure. This involves accurately entering applications into systems, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to verify details and progress applications, and monitoring status against targets. Position will also provide support across the administration function of the division for multiple teams, as required.
Trade Waste : This is wastewater generated from commercial and industrial activities that, when approved and managed within safe limits, can be discharged into Council’s sewerage system to protect public health, the environment and community amenity. This role provides administrative support for the trade waste program by managing enquiries, applications, renewals, compliance correspondence, invoicing liaison, accurate record keeping and data maintenance, while coordinating referrals, tracking approvals and escalating technical or compliance matters to Trade Waste Officers as required.
Qualifications And Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
Certificate IV in Business or similar competency and/or extensive relevant experience. Current “C” class drivers’ licence. Well-developed excellent customer service and communication skills including the ability to educate and influence. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products. Demonstrated proficiency in Council’s financial and administration systems, including but not limited to CiAnywhere and CES or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, relevant and timely administrative, secretariat, reporting and financial support to a multi-disciplinary team across different work locations. Ability to work independently along with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing work environments while demonstrating a positive attitude.
