The Opportunity
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a qualified and motivated Auto Electrician based in Perth to support operations across multiple sites as required. This role offers a flexible, ad-hoc roster, ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, adaptability and working in diverse environments.
About The Role
* Performing diagnostic evaluations and electrical maintenance services on a broad range of Hitachi construction and mining machinery
* Providing labour support across multiple regional Mine site's & Perth metro surrounding sites
* Liaising with technical support staff to achieve efficient outcomes and assist in ongoing product improvements
* Completing and submitting all required documentation and service reporting paperwork
* Maintaining strong working relationships with customers, peers and internal departments
* Identifying continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility
* Field and/or workshop-based work depending on operational requirements
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
* Australian accredited Auto Electrical trade qualification
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Air-con handlers licence
* Demonstrated experience working with mobile plant and heavy mining equipment
* Ability and willingness to attend multiple sites as required
* Strong understanding of mining equipment maintenance practices
* A proactive approach to Workplace Health & Safety and hazard reduction
* Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and technical skills
* Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
