Job Title: Civil Engineer Trainee
Civil Engineer Trainees will assist in the planning and execution of projects related to road infrastructure damaged by natural disasters, as well as contribute to project documentation, including scope definitions, cost tracking, drawings, and photographic records.
* Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of road infrastructure.
* Contribute to project documentation including scope definitions, cost tracking, drawings, and photographic records.
* Support technical analysis and restoration design for pavements, drainage, culverts, and slopes using Departmental standards.
* Assist in design reviews, procurement, contract administration, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
* Provide support across project controls, data entry, site inspections, and quality assurance to ensure compliance and delivery.
Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord or double degree including Civil Engineering.
* Willing and able to work in both office and field environments, including undertaking site visits.
* A current holder of a Class C Driver's Licence.
* Interested in infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, or civil project delivery.
