The Field Service Technician role is a pivotal position in our organization, requiring an individual with exceptional technical expertise and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate IV in Electronics & Communications or equivalent, along with a minimum of five years of experience as a service technician in the field of two-way radio equipment.
Responsibilities of this role include:
* Service, maintain, and troubleshoot two-way radio communication products and systems.
* Program Analogue, DMR, P25, and Tetra radio systems.
* Perform Level 1, 2, and 3 repairs of two-way radio equipment.
* Assemble custom-built systems and specialized equipment.
* Conduct final inspections, testing, and packaging as required.
* Test equipment to ensure full operational functionality.
* Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support.
* Service and maintain radio base sites and infrastructure.
* Comply with Service Level and Maintenance Agreements.
* Provide support for installations, commissioning, maintenance, and training when required.
* Assist with warehouse activities as necessary.
* Deliver work at a high standard of quality.
* Meet productivity targets and utilization goals.
* Follow internal processes, procedures, and company policies.
* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with OH&S requirements.
* Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and report recurring repair or service issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience repairing two-way radio equipment, including portable and mobile radios.
* Support for radio infrastructure across Analogue, Conventional, Trunked, P25, Tetra, and DMR technologies.
* Strong competence with networks and infrastructure, including repeaters, digital links, IP-linked networks, dispatch consoles, and desk systems.
* Hands-on, proactive approach with flexibility and ability to multitask.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate work effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of issues from start to resolution.
* IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, positive attitude, and adaptable approach to work.
* Willingness to travel and participate in on-call duties.
