Job Description
A Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Summerset is more than just a cleaner.
You're a quiet hero behind the scenes — keeping our village fresh, homely, and dignified for the people who live here.
We're looking for hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistants to join our warm and welcoming Cranbourne North village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home.
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting, and homelike environment for residents, their families, and fellow team members.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
* Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities
* Laundering, folding and returning residents' clothing and linens with care and attention
* Labelling, mending and maintaining residents' personal laundry items
* Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures
* Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs
You will be working Monday to Friday between the hours of 6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm.
This role will commence on the 16th March 2026 and will start with 2-3 week of full-time training, Monday - Friday.

Qualifications
You'll be a great fit if you:
* You have experience in housekeeping ideally in healthcare or hopsiatlity
* Take pride in your work and care about the small details
* Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
* Have a genuine interest in aged care (no experience necessary — full training provided)
