Position Title: Cook
Note: This position is required to prepare nutritious and palatable meals as per dietary and food safety guidelines and to ensure the kitchen provides an effective, efficient, and patient-focused catering service. This role may involve liaising with the dietitian and speech pathologist to follow Food Nutrition and IDDSI guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Prepare nutritious and palatable meals in accordance with dietary and food safety guidelines.
* Ensure the kitchen provides an effective, efficient, and patient-focused catering service.
* Assist with food preparation, cleaning, and updating record-keeping as directed; supervise and guide food service assistants as needed.
* Assist with weekend staffing needs by covering shifts when staff are on sick leave.
* Coordinate with dietitians and other health professionals to meet nutrition standards and patient needs.

Eligibility and Conditions
Eligibility to apply: applicants must have a valid working visa for fixed-term appointments or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments.
Other conditions: WA Health requires criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. You may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment.
