The petcare business is a leading provider of sustainable pet care solutions, with a product portfolio across the cat litter, small animal bedding, bird seed, pet treats and pet supplements categories.
With 7 manufacturing sites across Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and in the UK, and a worldwide network of distributors and retailers, our products are sold in over 20 countries worldwide. We employ over 300 people in our pet business around the world.
Our food and beverage business is a manufacturer of soft serve ice cream, beverages and associated products and is sold in over 76 countries across the world. Our products are sold in leading foodservice and QSR businesses around the world. It is based in Queensland and employs over 100 people in it's Yatala facility.
We are currently on the lookout for a Human Resources Officer on a Fixed Term Contract who will support the Human Resources department by performing administrative duties, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
This role serves as a point of contact for employees, providing assistance with HR-related inquiries and processes while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
The key duties of the role include:
* Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
* Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, including job advertisements, interviews, and induction programs
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems
* Assist with employee relations matters, including absence, performance, and disciplinary processes
* Support learning and development initiatives
* Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment legislation
* Coordinate workers' compensation claims and facilitate return-to-work programs
* Support with payroll administration, where required
You will need to have:
* Proven experience in a Human Resources role (minimum 3 years)
* Qualifications in human resources or a related field
* Solid understanding of employment legislation, modern awards, and HR best practices
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
