Job Description
Business analysts play a key role in supporting business solutions in Queensland Government. They act as facilitators, bridging the gap between business areas and technical teams. Responsibilities may include:
* Identifying and documenting business problems
* Supporting research into business change costs/benefits analysis of solutions
* Undertaking and documenting results from research and analysis
* Using modelling skills to understand complex organisational issues
* Defining business requirements and develop business cases
* Designing improved business processes.
Ideal Candidate Skills
Ideal candidates will have:
* High level process modelling and analytical skills
* High levels of interpersonal and written communication
* Problem solving skill and the ability to conceptualise and think creatively
* Attention to detail.
Tech Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a broad range of modelling skills including business process modelling. A degree in information technology, information systems, business, business computing, commerce or accounting is preferred.
