Head Gardener
Unique opportunity at Urbans to work within one of Adelaide's most prestigious landmarks.
Responsibilities
- Planning and design of gardens and maintenance schedules
- Supervise, train and mentor staff
- Horticultural maintenance and upkeep and enhancement of gardens
- Environmental stewardship through promotion of sustainable garden practices
- Preparation of the grounds and gardens for seasonal transitions and special events
- Record keeping and reporting on maintenance and scheduled activities
Qualifications
- Certificate 3 (or higher) in Horticulture or Landscape Management (or a related field)
- Full Driver’s license
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small team in the provision of garden & grounds maintenance
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of Horticulture, plant ID, plant care and pest management
- Familiarity with tools, machinery and sustainable garden practices
