**About the role**
**We are currently seeking an experienced Planner **with **civil/structural experience **to join our team in Geelong. As the Planner you will be responsible for the planning and monitoring of **multiple projects** from beginning to end.
**As a newly created role, you will have the opportunity to develop the role using your expertise to implement direct controls within the planning function.**
**More specifically, your responsibilities will include;**
- The preparation and maintenance of integrated and co-ordinated project programmes, enabling resource and material requirements to be forward planned to meet project deliverables
- Providing Project Engineers clear visibility of project statuses and forecast schedules, risks or issues
- Track performance against schedule (e.g., S-Curves) and actual versus planned manning levels and report against them
- Preparing and presenting progress reports
- Implement project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources, and quality (project controls and earned value)
- Cash Flow Analysis
- Identifying shortcomings and advise on action plans on cost reduction efforts
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of lookahead schedules
- Interacting and communicating with all levels of the delivery team, site construction teams, contractors and the clients directly
**Essential Skills and Attributes**
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualification in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical)
- Demonstrated experience in Engineering, Construction, Planning and Project Controls
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated engineering experience delivering technically challenging construction works
- Extensive experience in mitigating measures for project delays and providing schedule delay impact analysis and forecasting
- Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software to meet planning requirements
- A willingness and competency to perform as part of a tight-knit team
- A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
