Montague Farms is a supplier of fresh produce based in Ardmona growing high quality produce in the Goulburn Valley. We grow at scale to take advantage of growth opportunities in key horticulture sectors including apples, pears, cherries and stone fruit, across both domestic and export markets.
About the role:
Montague Farms Maintenance Diesel Technician's carry out the day to day maintenance, servicing and repairs across a large scale orchard with multiple sites. You will work across all orchard equipment and machinery and will directly support the Orchard teams to be setup for success.
Our Maintenance technician role involves:
Understanding the orchard life cycle to ensure maintenance schedules complement the requirements of the operations.
Servicing, repairing and maintaining machinery fleet and assets to provide optimum reliability and maximum availability
Attending to plant equipment breakdowns and ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
Performing services and maintenance to plant equipment and all company assets.
Working on a wide range of agricultural equipment including Tractors, slashers, mulchers and Elevated work platforms
Liaising with dealer support networks in order to maintain and improve machinery reliability
Maintaining logs and records of all machinery repair for historical, equipment management and Work health and safety requirements
Conducting daily/weekly (depending on machine) inspections to maximise machine availability, reliability and longevity.
Understanding and safely operating all machinery on site and guiding/training others when required.
Using our maintenance scheduling and prestart check software to keep plant equipment and assets service and maintenance history up to date.
About You:
As a successful Maintenance Diesel Technician, you will:
Be capable of working flexibly within both a team environment and independently when needed.
Have up to 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic (working with farm machinery would be highly regarded).
Ideally have experience working on cars and Utes along with basic welding experience.
Have basic Computer Skills.
Possess strong attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of necessary records for systems.
Ideally be experienced working with Kubota Tractors, John Deere Tractors, Ford Tractors and agricultural equipment.
Be a motivated, enthusiastic, and positive person with a willingness to learn.
Demonstrate a good work ethic with a sense of pride in your work.
Have a positive attitude toward all aspects of Work Health and Safety.
Hold a current, unencumbered drivers licence.
Have a Forklift license, Chem Certificate & First Aid Certificate (preferred).
Mechanical aptitude.
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 3.30pm, Friday 7.00am - 1.00pm
