The position of the QHSE Advisor is a stand-alone role responsible for ensuring that NRG's operations comply with legislative requirements and the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans. The role involves fostering a strong safety culture, managing compliance, conducting audits, and supporting risk management initiatives.

The position of QHSE is part time with flexible work hours that can be tailored to suit school hours or to enhance your work life balance as family time is important to everyone.

Duties and responsibilities

* Ensure all operations and activities comply with relevant legislative and company requirements in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
* Promote a proactive safety culture and support employees in identifying and mitigating risks within their work scope.
* Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to the company's QHSE standards.
* Investigate workplace incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
* Maintain detailed records of workplace incidents, non-conformance reports, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring timely closeout.
* Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and other QHSE training to enhance workforce knowledge and compliance.
* Develop and update QHSE documentation, including procedures, risk assessments, and management plans.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address QHSE concerns and ensure alignment with project requirements.
* Stay informed of changes to legislation and standards, ensuring the company remains compliant.

Desirable education

* Cert 4 Work Health and Safety or Proof of relevant industry experience
* ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certificate or Proof of relevant industry experience
