Provide strategic financial advice and support as an APS6 Management Accountant in a collaborative environment

Your new role
As the Management Accountant, you'll partner closely with senior leaders to deliver high-quality financial advice, budgeting support and business insights. Working under limited direction, you will use your technical expertise to guide financial planning, reporting and analysis. You'll prepare internal budgets, collaborate with budget owners, and support monthly and external reporting requirements.
You'll also draw on your analytical skills to identify areas for improvement, recommend practical solutions and contribute to key financial submissions. This role plays an integral part in strengthening financial management across the organisation and ensuring senior stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong experience in financial management, planning and reporting within government or commercial environments.
* Previous experience as a Management Accountant or in a finance business partnering role.
* Knowledge of financial management systems such as TechnologyOne.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, advise and engage senior stakeholders.
* Strong analytical capability and a track record of achieving outcomes.
* CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards one.
* Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
* Australian citizenship.
* Experience with government budget processes such as CBMS.
