About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technology Teacher to support the effective delivery of vocational and non-vocational education programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, teach and assess learning activities that meet learner needs
- Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Implement learning processes and support student wellbeing
- Engage with industry and maintain vocational currency
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain accurate records
- Mentor and support entry-level teachers and contribute to curriculum development
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Engineering Technology
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Organised and detail-oriented with a solutions mindset
- Excellent ICT skills and commitment to continuous improvement
Additional Requirements
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
