Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints and other written instructions.
Perform fabrication and repair works on various metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and other alloys.
Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines, using the appropriate welding process for each project.
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions while ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
Use hand and power tools (grinders, drills, cutting tools) as required.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets standard specifications.
Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent.
Proficiency in welding, gouging, cutting, or related duties.
Post-trade experience in a similar field.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Experience working with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and other alloys.
Familiarity with hand and power tools (grinders, drills, cutting tools).
Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct quality checks.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Self-motivated, organised, punctual, reliable, and with great work ethic.
Salary: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super
