Small Engine Mechanic (Agricultural Maintenance)
Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced Small Engine Mechanics to join their successful team in South Australia.
The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Small Engine Mechanics will be responsible for diagnostic and repair work on small motorized engines.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for service, maintenance and repair work on small motorized engines (such as chainsaws, small mobile plant, motorized irrigation machinery etc).
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules
* Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on engines and machinery
* Fault diagnostics and testing parts
* Performing repairs and replacing defective worn or parts
* Dismantling and removing engine mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
* Reassembling engines and parts after repair
Qualifications required:
* Experience within a similar role
* Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
* At least 2 years of fulltime experience
* Have a good eye for detail
* Must have intermediate or above computer skills
* Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures
* Be motivated and able to achieve targets
An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience. This is offered at basic salary of between $80,000 – $100,000 p.a. + Superannuation
