OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity exists for a technically minded Sales Engineer to join the team based in South Perth.
This role is primarily focused on auxiliary ventilation fans, a well-established and high-volume product line used extensively across mining operations. You will take ownership of enquiries, quotations, and sales processes, while building strong relationships with contractors, mine operators, and distributors.
This is a hybrid position offering office-based work with two days WFH per week, combined with occasional travel to mine sites and client locations. Over time, you will also gain exposure to more complex ventilation systems and tendering processes, providing a clear pathway into major project sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage end-to-end sales processes including enquiries, quotations, order processing, and after-sales support
* Build and maintain strong relationships with mining clients, contractors, and distribution partners
* Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive engagement and networking
* Prepare accurate pricing, proposals, and technical submissions in collaboration with engineering teams
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on specifications, lead times, and delivery outcomes
* Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting for management visibility
* Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen market presence
* Support broader sales activities, including exposure to tendering and larger project opportunities over time
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Experience in technical sales, industrial equipment, or mining-related sectors
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to understand and present technical products clearly
* High attention to detail, particularly in quotations and documentation
* Self-motivated with strong organisational capability
* Exposure to ventilation systems, rotating equipment, or mining infrastructure
* Experience supporting tenders or major project sales
* Engineering or technical qualification (mechanical, electrical or similar)
* Familiarity with mining markets in Australia
