The Role
Centrecare offers a flexible opportunity for an experienced Financial Counsellor to join our team, allowing you to choose a base location that suits your lifestyle and career goals:
Perth-based with occasional travel to Kalgoorlie (4-6 weekly visits) to support remote clients, or
Kalgoorlie-based full-time, enjoying a vibrant regional lifestyle, with benefits including:
$10,500 Zone Allowance per annum in addition to salary
Accommodation support of $300 per week for the first 12 weeks
Key Responsibilities
Deliver casework support and financial counselling services both in person and remotely.
Assess clients’ financial circumstances to identify practical solutions.
Advocate on behalf of clients and negotiate with creditors as needed.
Provide community education and financial literacy support.
Maintain accurate and compliant case records.
Engage in occasional travel to meet clients and deliver outreach (if Perth-based).
Selection Criteria
Diploma of Financial Counselling or equivalent qualification.
Membership or eligibility for membership with the Financial Counsellors Association of WA.
At least 2 years’ experience in financial counselling, preferably including remote/rural contexts.
Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote caseload.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
