About the role
This is an 8‑week fixed‑term, part‑time (0.6 FTE / 45.6 hrs per fortnight) role until 27 February 2026. The Senior Clinical Educator – Psychology is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a strategic education program for psychologists across the RCH campus, delivering education on evidence‑based psychological practice, and supporting provisional psychologists, registrars, and senior staff. The focus of this role is the registrar program, supporting six registrar positions in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate engaging educational packages for RCH psychologists
- Support the registrar program and other educational activities as needed
Your skills and experience
- Accredited Master or Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology (preferred) or clinical neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. (Note: Master of Professional Psychology does not meet this criterion)
- General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (Board)
- Area of Practice Endorsement on the Board in clinical psychology (preferred) or clinical neuropsychology
- Board‑approved supervisor status, including ‘Registrar Program Principal Supervisor’ approval
- Minimum of eight years post‑qualification (higher‑degree) experience as a psychologist
- Experience providing education and teaching to psychologists in a hospital or tertiary education setting
- Experience providing clinical supervision to staff and post‑graduate students completing clinical placements
Other requirements
- Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Compliance with RCH’s “Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine‑Preventable Diseases” procedure
Vaccination & immune requirements
It is a requirement of your employment that you be vaccinated against influenza annually for Category A and B roles, in compliance with any public health orders in place at the relevant time, unless you have a medical exception accepted by RCH.
