We are currently seeking a temporary Schools Facilities Officer to join our team. This position will commence in January 2026.
Progressional Position: The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. The salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

About The Role
As the Schools Officer, Facilities, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the school by maintaining a high standard of facilities care and support. Reporting to the Principal, Business Manager or a nominated delegate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school environment is safe, functional and welcoming for all.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance, repairs and grounds upkeep to ensure the school is well‑maintained.
* Assist with event preparations, including setting up and relocating furniture and equipment.
* Support security duties such as locking and unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements and address safety hazards.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding maintenance and facility‑related matters.
About You
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Experience in general maintenance and basic repairs.
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, students and contractors.
