We're partnering with a respected Queensland Government organisation to appoint an experienced Manager, Information Management on a contractor basis for a multi year engagement. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping how information and records are managed, protected and leveraged across the organisation.
You'll lead a small, capable team and play a hands-on role in strengthening the departments information governance, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and public sector standards. What you'll be doing As the Manager, Information Management, you will:
* Lead and support the team responsible for day-to-day information and records management services, fostering a positive, safe and customer-focused working environment.
* Develop and maintain information management policies, standards and procedures aligned with organisational goals and legislative requirements.
* Play a key role in the development and delivery of an information governance framework across the organisation.
* Provide high quality strategic and operational advice to senior leadership on information and records management matters.
* Oversee the secure collection, organisation, storage and disposal of information assets in both digital and physical formats.
* Manage information systems, repositories and tools, experience with Content Manager and unstructured data environments will be highly regarded.
* Partner with the Information Security Manager to ensure appropriate security controls are in place to protect confidentiality and integrity.
* Build capability across the organisation by leading training, awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Evaluate and enhance information management practices to support efficiency and organisational performance.
