Your new role

As an ICT Infrastructure Specialist, you will provide onsite and remote Level 2 and Level 3 ICT technical support, along with supporting ongoing projects and infrastructure improvements or implementations. You will also be responsible for the ongoing updating and management of the overall ICT infrastructure, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are completed and fully documented. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise and support for internal and external ICT and organisational projects, prioritising collaboration with stakeholders.

Role and responsibilities:

* Provide Level 2 support in response to service requests (both in person, phone, and ticket generation) according to agreed procedures.
* Coordinate Level 3 support for incident and change management, including vendor partners and end customers.
* Ensure customer satisfaction by providing regular updates on job resolution and confirming that the customer accepts the outcome at the time of resolution.
* Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and updated in ICT Systems, adhering to Information Management Principles and standard Information Technology (IT) operations.
* Lead change with continuous improvement initiatives for IT operations in line with organisational requirements.
* Design and implement ICT infrastructure environments and systems in line with organisation’s digital roadmap and architecture standards.
* Daily management and monitoring of backup and disaster recovery systems. Perform regular restore and disaster recovery testing.
* Conduct tests, correct malfunctions, manage change, and document results in accordance with agreed procedures.
* Develop and maintain infrastructure implementation and management processes, procedures, and standards.
* Coordinate and execute routine maintenance tasks on ICT infrastructure assets, inclusive of change management, implementation planning, and risk and impact analysis.
* Ensure ICT Infrastructure systems are monitored, and appropriate thresholds are defined to pre-emptively warn of capacity issues or potential failures.
* Lead the successful delivery of ICT Infrastructure projects, including scoping, procurement, planning, execution, risk and issue management, budget tracking, and reporting.
* Contribute to the successful delivery of organisational strategic projects, including technical design, execution, and reporting.
* Develop business cases for ICT Infrastructure projects and prepare management report submissions.
* Systematically plan and decommission redundant/end-of-life infrastructure.
* Identify end-of-life systems and potential solutions for succession planning.
* Participate in training necessary to support ICT infrastructure and systems.
* Ensure documentation for ICT infrastructure support information or changes to information (e.g., IP address allocation, password store) is maintained, including change documents, implementation documents, asset registers, software licences, and partner support agreements.
* Design and implement automated processes and auto-schedule future work where possible, including maintenance.
* Propose innovative proofs of concept and pilots for potential projects to enable the organisation to resolve business challenges by leveraging new and emerging technologies.
* Engage with other health services and external industry colleagues to stay up to date and relevant with technology changes as they relate to the IT digital and architect roadmap.

What you need to succeed

* Degree or Certificate IV in Information Technology or related field, or currently studying to obtain any of these certifications.
* Industry certification of ITIL and related technical certifications relevant to the role, e.g., TOGAF, Microsoft, and other vendor certifications.
* 7+ years of experience in a similar role in the IT/ICT industry, particularly across technology, data, digital processes, and security.
* Demonstrated proficiency supporting enterprise network infrastructure, workstations, servers, and applications.
* Proven ability to support enterprise solutions across applications, infrastructure, and architecture.
* Strong experience working collaboratively to identify and implement continuous service improvement for IT.
* Extensive experience with technical environments across solution architecture, infrastructure, applications, integrations, and cybersecurity, e.g., enterprise networks, servers, applications, M365, telephony, and collaborative solutions.
* Current driver’s licence.
