The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments, and provide technical guidance in a range of structural materials for our junior team members. With offices across Australia there is plenty of opportunity to collaborate across multi‐disciplinary teams.
* Become a technical focal point and provide technical guidance for the structural team in Melbourne
* Apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering solutions
* Liaise with clients, design technicians and other team members to deliver practical solutions
* Manage clients, prepare fee proposals and tender documentation
* Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team
What you bring
* Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design
* Indepth experience in structural engineering design and already obtained Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineering Status or equivalent
* Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher
* Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem‐solving mentality
* Willingness to contribute to technical guidance of junior members through mentoring and checking of technical documentation
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients
