About The Role
This Financial Counsellor position plays a crucial role in providing high-quality, trauma-informed financial counselling services to assist individuals and/or families in regaining financial independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Trauma-Informed Financial Counselling: Provide expert support to clients experiencing gambling-related financial hardship.
* One-on-One Counselling: Offer individualised casework, consumer education, and ongoing support to promote financial stability.
* Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure precise record-keeping and compliance with relevant reporting requirements.
* Build Professional Networks: Establish and maintain connections to promote financial counselling services within the community.
Requirements
* Financial Counselling Accreditation: Hold accreditation from the Financial Counsellors' Association of NSW (FCAN).
* Relevant Qualifications: Possess units: CHCGMB501A, CHCGMB502A, CHCGMB203AS or Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or equivalent.
* Essential Skills: Develop strong communication and organisational skills to excel in this role.
* Team Player: Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
