Our** People and Culture Operations Team** have an exciting opportunity for an** Advisor** to join the team on a full time, 12 month fixed-term basis. You will be a part of a large, high-performing and supportive team, where you will be responsible for administering a variety of generalist activities relating to the employee life cycle. You will be required to provide accurate advice and customer service to all staff on payroll-related matters and respond to queries relating the University’s Industrial instruments, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
**Key duties and responsibilities include**:
- Provide high quality, timely and accurate employment advice and support to staff and associated stakeholders.
- Ensure integrity of data by running and completing pay audit reports.
- Investigate and resolve pay and benefit queries relating to staff employment matters.
- Prepare contracts of employment ensuring contracts conform to policy and legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Department of Home Affairs regulations, including the administration of sponsored visas and conducting VEVO checks.
- Facilitate staff relocation processes, liaising with schools and faculties and the University’s relocation provider to ensure the process is completed effectively.
- Co-ordinate all relevant aspects of employee cessations including resignation, pre-retirement, retirement, and redundancy.
**You will bring to the role**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Prior experience in transactional processes and practices across the employee life cycle.
- High attention to detail skills and numeracy and validation skills.
- Relevant degree, qualification and/or demonstrable working experience within Human Resources.
