With over 13 years of experience in supporting government agencies and corporate clients, we provide a dynamic and collaborative environment where skilled professionals can thrive and drive meaningful change.We are currently working on two vacancies for our client, details and key criteria below.Position 1: Civil Maritime Safety Officer - DSS Level 4 or equivalentThe Civil Maritime Safety Officer will oversee a team dedicated to enhancing civil maritime safety reporting and assurance. This role involves offering expert guidance on maritime safety and cultivating a robust safety culture within the maritime sector.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead the Civil Maritime Safety Section, ensuring high performance and fostering a safety-oriented culture.Provide specialized knowledge on maritime safety issues, spearheading actions and reporting on related matters.Improve safety reporting and assurance, ensuring adherence to legislation, standards, and best practices.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety risks, overseeing safety assurance, investigations, inspections, and training programs.Investigate safety incidents and near misses, disseminate safety information to stakeholders, and train APS replacement resources.Skills and Experience:Extensive background in maritime safety management or compliance auditing.Strong grasp of safety management frameworks and risk assessment.Comprehensive knowledge of marine and Commonwealth WHS legislation and industry standards.Familiarity with safety principles and best practices.Position 2: Civil Maritime Safety Training Officer - DSS Level 3maritime safety training.
