Position Objectives
* Teaching students the art of drumming
* Teaching technique, rhythm, grooves, fills, rudiments, and playing to music
* Playing with other musicians
* Performing
* Teaching music theory and musical literacy
* Working with students to grow and cultivate their unique style on the instrument
* Preparing and training students for any music or drum related examinations and performances (e.g., AMEB: Rock School examinations, High School performances, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting trial lessons
* Teaching students
* Cleaning and maintaining the drum school
* Communicating the progress of students to parents
* Providing and checking homework
Knowledge and Experience
* Music Theory
* Technique
* Live Performance Experience (Preferable but not required)
Required Qualifications
* Previous teaching experience (Preferable but not required)
* A valid Working with Children's Check
Eligibility and Compensation
* Job Types: Part-time, Casual
* Salary: $31.20 – $60.00 per hour
* Ability to commute or relocate: Bedford WA 6052 – Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
* Work Authorization: Australia – Required
* Work Location: In person
