The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy and driving rooms-led performance for a luxury lifestyle hotel. This involves building a go-to-market plan, designing the optimal commercial structure, and recruiting a best-in-class sales team.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
* Go-to-Market Plan: Create a tailored plan positioning, pricing, and channel strategy to achieve room-led performance.
* Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional results.
* Segment Strategies: Develop targeted strategies for luxury leisure, premium corporate, conference guests, high-end wholesale, consortia/travel agents, entertainment, long-stay suites, and lifestyle groups/buyouts.
* Partnerships: Establish partnerships with local brand collaborators, wellness, culture, art, culinary, and beach lifestyle partners; tourism bodies; influencers, and content creators.
* Digital Foundations: Establish digital platforms, including website, SEO/SEM, CRM, social media, content production, visual identity, and storytelling.
Requirements
* Leadership Experience: Proven success as a Director of Sales & Marketing within luxury or upper-upscale hotels.
* Pre-Opening Experience: Strongly preferred, with 5-star hotel operations exposure essential.
* Performance Track Record: Driving rooms-led performance without reliance on large event spaces.
* Revenue Strategy: Strength in revenue strategy, distribution, digital marketing, CRM, and brand PR.
* Luxury Market Knowledge: Deep relationships across luxury leisure, premium corporate, and trade; familiarity with Australian and inbound markets.
* Inspirational Leadership: Coaching, talent development, and performance management.
* Commercial Acumen: Commercially astute and data-driven, with creative brand sensibility and exceptional communication skills.
